Michael Gusich

Principal, Commercial Property Acquisitions

Michael Gusich leads Everest’s commercial and multifamily acquisitions efforts.  His primary responsibilities include the development of investment strategies and the sourcing and closing of acquisition targets.

Mr. Gusich has over 20 years of investment and corporate finance experience.  He started his career on Wall Street and has been on the buy-side since with direct involvement in over $2 billion of investment and financing transactions across a variety of product types and sectors, including multifamily, office, flex, retail, hospitality, entertainment venues, notes and operating companies.  Prior to joining Everest, Mr. Gusich worked in the acquisitions unit at Alterra Capital Group, a multifamily investment firm in Miami.  His previous experience includes corporate development and strategic planning at Clear Channel Entertainment and investment banking at Bear Stearns, both in New York.

Mr. Gusich received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and BS from the University of Illinois, where he played varsity football and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.  He has been a guest lecturer at select graduate and undergraduate schools.  He also co-authored a real estate investment case study that was published by Columbia Business School and has been used in its MBA program.

Mr. Gusich has been an active member of several organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC), Men’s Arts Council of the Phoenix Art Museum and Men’s Board for the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
