Everest's hotel platform is focused on investing in premier hospitality assets throughout the Southwest and West Coast. Everest also acquires loans secured by such assets, particularly non-performing or under-performing loans. Some of Everest's recent investments include the following:
Hotel Indigo Scottsdale. Scottsdale, Arizona
Everest purchased this 126 room hotel centrally located in downtown Scottsdale in July 2006, completed a $5 million renovation, and opened it in February 2007. Hotel Indigo offered an upscale, fun and fashion forward boutique experience at a more relaxed price point than other boutique hotel concepts. The hotel's focus was on experience over pure function; harmony was brought indoors from a desert with the beautiful colors of the earth and air. Everest sold the hotel in 2015.
Crowne Plaza Phoenix. Phoenix, Arizona
Everest purchased this 250-room, full-service hotel in 2004 and repositioned both the physical plant and the operation with an eye toward returning the hotel to its historically competitive position. Everest completed a comprehensive $1.6 million renovation in 2005, adding more than 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting venues to the hotel, while creating a contemporary Latin ambiance for the public spaces.
Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley. Fremont, California
Everest purchased this 357-room, full-service hotel in Silicon Valley, California in May 2007 and completed a $1 million renovation. At the gateway to Silicon Valley, the Marriott Fremont hotel is located at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay just north of San Jose. It is the only full-service hotel in Fremont California, and provides an elegant and accommodating atmosphere, near many Bay Area attractions including Napa Valley and world-renowned high-tech headquarters.
